Alkhemia, the rising force in the French Black Metal scene, continues the expansion of its sonic empire with the release of its second album: Häxen. Two years after the success of their debut Abraxas (2024) and a massive European tour of over 80 dates, the band returns with a deeper and more mature work.

Häxen is a multi-faceted album: violent yet melancholic, fast yet melodic, driven by a constant tension between rage and lucidity. A piece of occult, modern and incisive black metal that will resonate with fans of Mgła, Naglfar, Gaerea, Der Weg einer Freiheit or Sargeist.
This is a philosophical journey into witchcraft and the decay of a civilization collapsing into Orwellian dystopia – a world where the ones who refuse to conform become outcasts. Through its new tracks, Alkhemia embodies the oppression of these “modern sorcerers” – marginal, dissident, unyielding – stigmatized for rejecting the norms they despise.

Biography
Emerging from the shadows of 2020 under the impulse of James Spar, Alkhemia has rapidly carved its name into the foundations of the French Black Metal scene. Composed of seasoned musicians from renowned acts, the band strikes a perfect balance between melodies, atmospheres, and raw, uncompromising aggression.
Following the critical acclaim of their debut “Abraxas” (2024) and an extensive European tour of over 80 dates – sharing the stage with Taake, Necrophobic, Antrisch, Ancient, Tsatthoggua, Sunken…With appearances at major festivals like Cosmic Void, Dark Troll Fest…, the band now returns with a deeper and more mature work: “Häxen”…
Now signed to Non Serviam Records, Alkhemia reaches a new peak of sonic darkness. “Häxen” is a visceral exploration of the “Modern Witch”- the defiant outcast who refuses to bow before the decaying structures of our civilization. Produced and mixed by A.S.A. at Negurah Studio, the album is a sonic manifestation of dystopian rebellion, blending modern black metal aesthetics with a deeply dark and philosophical core.
